Desired Qualifications: Software engineering knowledge, specifically Java (Groovy and Grails desired but not required). Interest or experience in sales, branding and marketing.

Compensation: $1000-1,500 per month

Duration of training period: 12-18 months, starting as soon as possible.

Position summary:

The intern will assist with the development of the project Paperless Technical Publications, a web-based software as a service (SAAS) application for managing, publishing and tracking conformance of employees and their required compliance with regulatory publications

Location: South Beloit, suburb to Rockford in the Chicago area, Illinois

Start date: June 2010     Duration of training period: 6 months

Qualifications: -Current or recent student in Computer Programming or related field is required.

-Must have knowledge of ASP.NET

-Knowledge of VS.Net 2008/2005 is a plus

-Knowledge of C# is a plus

-Knowledge of AJAX is a plus

-Knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2005 is a plus
Personal qualities: The intern must be able to work independently and be task oriented. The intern must also possess the ability to manage time well.

Intern to SACC-USA Trainee Program, Washington D.C. area
The Swedish American Chambers of Commerce of the USA, Inc. located in the Washington D.C. suburb of Alexandria is offering a training position as an Intern at the Trainee Program.

Position summary: Assist with outreach for the SACC-USA Trainee Program towards Swedish trainee candidates and potential U.S. host companies. Help evaluate applications and make sure they meet program requirements. Update trainee candidate database. Assist with weekly electronic mailings of available positions. Maintain contact with potential host companies. Assist with updates of trainee program home page.
This internship will give you valuable work experience and knowledge in trade, commerce and investment between the United States and Sweden. The internship will also offer insight into how a non-profit organization operates and possibilities for networking with both Swedish and American companies.

Requirements: Must be a current or recent student at a Swedish institution of higher learning ”eftergymnasial” (intern) or have a degree from such an institution and one year’s experience in the field or five years experience (trainee). The intern/trainee should have the intention to return to Sweden at the end of the training period.
